Book Details

Rock-A-Bye Child expands on the traditional Rock-A-Bye Baby poem to explore the meaning of the tree and the wind and life’s wonder in this delightful adventure of a parent and child.

Note from the author: When my wife and I were new parents, I spent many nights marching up and down the stairs in the middle of the night comforting a child on my shoulder. As I sang Rock-A-Bye Baby, I created extra verses to turn the original verse (which is a little frightening after all) into a comforting poem of love and joy. Now that Kestrel, our second child, is an illustrator, I am delighted that she has illustrated our family poem and we can present it in this book.
