Rita Beck

About the Author: Rita Beck grew up south of St Louis, Missouri. She attended Southeast Missouri State University in Cape Girardeau and Central Methodist College and worked for the State of Missouri both in social work and as a special education teacher for the State of Missouri Schools. After retirement she taught in the public school system. Rita has three grown children, eight grandchildren, and several great-grandchildren. She also plays piano for the Caledonia Methodist Church in Caledonia, Missouri, and plays a bandola with family and friends. About the Illustrator. Marvin Joseph Politte was born in Washington Co., Missouri. He and his wife Geraldine have two children and three grandchildren. Joe’s talents include art and woodworking, playing several different stringed instruments, and singing. He serves on the Washington Co. Library Board and as a musician at the St. Joachim Catholic Church, where he sings traditional French and English music and is active in historic preservation of the French culture.
