Advance Praise for Ralph’s Journey

Ralph’s Journey is an account of a young boy’s journey through life from remote, rural Oklahoma to the urban areas of California and Oregon. It is a fascinating and riveting story complete with angels, bootleggers, police cruisers, exciting action and philosophical advice that we can all use in our journey through life. It is an absolute must read for all fans of a tale well told. – Pink Saxton, Commander, American Legion, Post 134, Portland, Oregon Ralph’s Journey is an exciting, entertaining adventure story about a young man’s exploits on the outskirts of the law and how he came to be redeemed. It has everything in it from angels to Mafia figures. This work is an unfailingly honest account of how redemption is possible if a young person can accept mentoring and make the right choices in his life. Ralph’s Journey is a great read, and I predict that you will not want to put it down once you start it. – Michael Parks, Editorial Artist, Retired, Chicago Sun-Times, Sacramento Bee Don Davis has written a forceful and enchanting book about how a rebellious young boy with violent tendencies manages to turn his life around, thanks to good mentoring and advice from adults and spiritual beings in his life. The protagonist in this gripping story demonstrates, along with philosophical words from the author, that anyone, regardless of background, can become kind, compassionate, and a productive member of society. It is one of the most fascinating stories I have ever read. – Otto E. Asher, United States Army, Retired

About the Author

Don Davis

Don Davis, a Sandy, Oregon, resident and a devoted advocate for equality, human rights, and justice, enters the literary world with his debut novel, Ralph’s Journey. Ralph’s Journey, an adventure story that offers social commentary and political opinions while dispensing philosophical advice, chronicles the life of Angel Raphael Johnson (AKA Ralph Johnson) from the time he is born in remote, rural Oklahoma through his young adulthood as he becomes associated with organized crime figures in Tulsa. It follows him as he leaves town one step ahead of the police. Mr. Davis is currently a democratically elected past president of a 501 (c) (3) charitable organization known as the Oregon Bass and Panfish Club. OBPC, which is believed to be the largest independent fishing organization west of the Rockies, encourages and stimulates interest in angling for warm-water game fish and helps to perpetuate those fish in water adaptable to the species. It also assists in the observance and enforcement of game laws and fights pollution in all the waters of Oregon. He spends much of his time care-giving for family members and friends, mentoring young people and working to keep at-risk kids in school, advocating for livable wage jobs, and working as a warm-water sports fishing consultant.
