Don Davis, a Sandy, Oregon, resident and a devoted advocate for equality, human rights, and justice, enters the literary world with his debut novel, Ralph’s Journey. Ralph’s Journey, an adventure story that offers social commentary and political opinions while dispensing philosophical advice, chronicles the life of Angel Raphael Johnson (AKA Ralph Johnson) from the time he is born in remote, rural Oklahoma through his young adulthood as he becomes associated with organized crime figures in Tulsa. It follows him as he leaves town one step ahead of the police. Mr. Davis is currently a democratically elected past president of a 501 (c) (3) charitable organization known as the Oregon Bass and Panfish Club. OBPC, which is believed to be the largest independent fishing organization west of the Rockies, encourages and stimulates interest in angling for warm-water game fish and helps to perpetuate those fish in water adaptable to the species. It also assists in the observance and enforcement of game laws and fights pollution in all the waters of Oregon. He spends much of his time care-giving for family members and friends, mentoring young people and working to keep at-risk kids in school, advocating for livable wage jobs, and working as a warm-water sports fishing consultant.
