While on a mission trip to Guatemala, Missions Pastor Mike Megginson meets Rudy, a three-year-old boy who has been abandoned and abused. In spite of it all, though, Rudy is still loving and trusting, with a big heart and an even bigger sense of humor. Pastor Mike, his wife Sally, and fellow missionary Mary Haring Purvis become determined to provide Rudy with a safe home and a loving family—no matter what.

This seemingly small, insignificant boy living in a remote mountain village would become the catalyst for something bigger than anyone could have imagined. Across three countries—Guatemala, Costa Rica, and the United States—Rudy would challenge and shape the hearts and souls of those who loved him.
