Every human being makes mistakes and it seems that life is punishing us for our mistakes. God sometimes takes our mistakes and causes them to have a boomerang effect and bring us back to where we really need to be. Such is the case with the two young people in this story. Life throws them a curve at a very early age and they were off track for many years, but since God is not bound by time or space, he allowed them in time to come full circle and made their mistakes the cornerstone and center of their world. What they thought was a mistake is now the joy of their lives.

 

About the Author

George Harris

The author grew up in the south. When you are black and raised in the south, it has a profound effect on how you see life and where you as a person could end up as you grow old. He had to go through many back doors in restaurants and doctor’s offices and face segregation and discrimination. The doxology is an excellent example of the lead into his story. While this is a work of fiction, the times and conditions are real. This is not a referendum or condemnation of anyone or any race. It is simply a statement of fact and how things were at the time.
