Book Details

If dogs could read - and they probably can...just not in the way we arrange and translate various symbols into meaning - they would appreciate much of this collection!

Proof I Was Here will certainly appeal to those who care about dogs: their behaviors, their importance in our lives, and their noble qualities that most of us (including the author) strive unsuccessfully to attain. For those not fixated upon dogs, the majority of poems in this lyrical collection address family and death of family, the Vietnam War, a thankfully brief selection of limericks, vintage North Carolina postcards in a Haiku format, and other mostly personal observations, to include a neighborhood suicide, growing older, Autumn, and rain.
