Book Details

“You should write a book!!” John and Mark heard it from teachers, from parents, from friends and family members, and even sometimes from the students themselves. So they did. From conversations about the factors forcing our public schools from being places where children should be nurtured academically, socially, and emotionally, to the stories that comprised their over ten years together in a National Blue Ribbon School of Excellence (2000) with a nine out of ten rating in Greatschools.com, you’ll find it in Principals’ Principals. From their first days, when the Vice President of the United States spent the day at their school, to the locker that ate a sixth grader’s head, and everything in between, you’ll feel the warmth of what middle schools once were and what they can and should be again! John and Mark discuss the importance of relationships among all parties within the educational community and share with parents and educators some of the practical, time-tested, and sometimes counterintuitive methods that worked for their students during the roller-coaster years we call middle school. Please enjoy the ride!
