When we attain the status of now departed world-wise sage, When we have turned life’s final page, When time presents for us to exit life’s stage, A traveler rests

“Travel is where you rendezvous with life.” This beautiful, profound idea is the foundation of poems composed to be read, enjoyed, and easily understood. Springing from the poet’s love of song lyrics, these poems reflect the sensitivity to rhythm and the sweet satisfaction of rhyme that are so often missing in modern poetry. This collection is a journey that anyone from the novice to the adventurer can savor and celebrate, looking through the lens of a consummate world traveler whose observations awaken curiosity, warm the heart, and enlighten the soul. Accessible, lyrical, and inspiring, Poetry of a Traveler may kindle your latent wanderlust, reconnect you with a love of poetry . . . or take you to a destination you never dreamed possible.
