Out Of Darkness Into Life...A Journey

Sometimes difficult situations in life seem to knock the breath right out of us! Immediately, we can make a decision to stay in darkness or awake with a desire to view life differently.Reading the encouraging and enlightening writings, prayers, poems, and thoughts in this book will give you a sense of resuscitation. You will begin to sense a new outlook on life. As each piece was written, many of my friends, family and colleagues became my audience, while others chose to read them privately. Many were printed, framed and given as gifts. The impact of their responses was so astounding and overwhelming that I begin reading these inspiring and uplifting words to people who were in hospitals or experiencing challenges. The results were humbling and encouraging, but most of all, fruitful. Several people asked me to compile the pieces into a book, so they and others could have access to these masterpieces daily. Out of Darkness Into Life, is a book that can be used as a devotional, a journal, or just for your reading pleasure. Read each piece thoroughly, meditate on it, allow yourself to be renewed, think on it, and then begin to journal your journey. Take this journey filled with insight and beaming with light. Breathe again!

Book Excerpt

Behold, I am coming forth. I see darkness, but I must continue to come. I am being pulled forward as water is surrounding me, lights are blinding me, and sounds are astounding me. Yet I still come. I am coming into something that is new and refreshing. This new thing is causing joy to overtake me. I am made aware that I am coming Out of Darkness Into Life.

“ In Him was Life and the life was the Light of men” John 1:4

Into the Glorious Light

Into the Glorious Light I step.

In the arms of my Heavenly Father, I’ve been kept.

No Longer in darkness do I dwell.

In the marvelous Light, the Kingdom of God, I beheld.

Into the Glorious Light I stare.

Behold, the King of King’s is standing right there!

Now I can truly see the splendor of God’s Glory.

Joy, peace and love are now my life story.

Into the Glorious Light I walk.

The language of faith is now my talk.

Speaking the truth with boldness and confidence,

I’m always acknowledging the Presence of the King with reverence.

Into the Glorious Light is where revelation and truth are revealed.

The lies of the king of darkness are no longer concealed.

Truth and revelation shines like drops of melting gold.

The Word is truly a lamp that lights our path as the prophets foretold.

Into the Glorious Light I will stay.

Praising my Lord, as I walk in His Glorious Light, everyday.

Father, Breathe In Me

Breathe in me, O Heavenly Father of the Living, truly living.

I take deep breaths of relief because of Your sacrificial giving.

Inhaling and exhaling are evidence of life receiving,

But breathing forth the air of the Holy Spirit is evidence of conceiving.

Father, breathe in me.

You give me the wind to lift my wings to fly.

You give me love to sustain me as I soar toward the sky.

Being able to eat and to drink is evidence of life.

With Your breath in me, I can easily cease from strife.

Father, breathe in me.

Father, as You breathe in me, energy and strength increases.

Without You breathing in me, true life ceases.

Father, breathe in me.

Father, every day, every hour, and every moment, be my breath. Amen.
