Book Details

A young teen’s life is turned upside down when she’s shipped off to a tiny town for the summer.

Pam Ackerman has lived in Alabama all her life, where her father is a well-known attorney and her mother works in a satellite law office. Life seems pretty normal until she and her mother receive a handwritten letter from her father that he is leaving them. The letter includes a sketchy separation proposal for Pam’s mother—and things quickly get complicated. While her mother frantically arranges for certified paralegal training over the summer in order to meet the terms of a more favorable divorce agreement, Pam is off to spend the summer with her widowed Aunt Susan in the tiny town of Obion, Tennessee. Pam barely knows her Aunt, and she knows nothing about Obion. The teen is miserable…..until the day she meets Tony Hill, a local teenage boy. They fall in love and are inseparable for the rest of the summer, but they both know they’ll have to face the end of summer when Pam has to return to her Alabama hometown.
