From the Conclusion:
...when other Constitutional safeguards become hopelessly frayed, not only is the First Amendment needed more by the People, but it is wanted even less by top-down Statists. The inherent conflict between Big Government and Free Speech has finally made its inevitability manifest. The Statists have already run roughshod over Constitutional protections, such as separation of powers, enumerated powers, and States' Rights (Federalism). They have swept large swathes of the population out of the category of the independent into the enclosed pens of dependency. Now only Free Speech stands in their way. While these dangerous propensities are only aggravated in the case of a thin-skinned and thuggish President, they would be present for these reasons in any Liberal incumbent, which helps explain why Liberals all seemed so eager to pile on, even those not so thin-skinned or thuggish. The last effective barrier to their ambitions is too important a "problem" not to be attacked.
Yet through this lesson, the American spirit has rallied. We do not seem ready just yet to surrender our First Amendment to the Statists, nor to adopt the cringing attitude of sheep as Government attempts to speak down to us. Nevertheless, the lessons that Obama has taught us in his War on Free Speech must not be forgotten. If we ever again elect a Government of Statists in both the Executive and Legislative Branches and if, God forbid, we should also happen to have in place at the same time a Supreme Court and Press ready to be their accomplices, then we already know from Obama's demonstration what they will try to do to our Free Speech. We all need to be good citizens and remain ever alert to ensure that our First and now Final protection is never taken from us. As Chief Justice Earl Warren warned: "...those nations that are free today are so...because, and only because, their people are determined to be free".
