Laura Macias is the divorced mother of two children whose lifelong love of writing began in middle school. Although she did not complete high school, she earned her GED and continued pursuing her passion for writing throughout life's many challenges. After her son was diagnosed with Asperger's Syndrome, Laura experienced a period of depression and sought counseling. During her healing journey, she rediscovered poetry as a powerful outlet for expressing her thoughts, emotions, and experiences. Writing became both a source of comfort and a path toward healing as she explored themes of family, divorce, motherhood, loss, hope, and perseverance. Encouraged by the unwavering support of her older brother and daughter, Laura found the confidence to share her work with others. My Secrets is her heartfelt debut poetry collection, offering readers an honest and compassionate look at life's struggles while reminding them that healing, strength, and hope are always possible.
