Poetry Speaking from My Heart

This compact volume is a remarkable collection of poetical utterances that passionately share and expose the reader to the life the author has experienced. So often we find ourselves wishing that we could have captured and retained, rather than let slip away, our thoughts and reactions to that joy, that pain, that hilarity, that rage, that touch, that cold, that night, that evening sky, that downcast look of a friend, that gift, that kindness or even that offense. The author’s gift has been the ability to focus keenly on and retain such thoughts and reactions in detail while they were distilled further before being beckoned to flow out of her pen. The reader may see her wonderful “My Pen” poems (Chapter 1) for further perspective—and delight. The arc of her life and its events, including her harsh lonely childhood, her struggle to function while burdened with mental illness as well as the lives, loves, and relationships along her path, have afforded her gift with an uncommon richness of those thoughts and reactions.
