Real Estate Investment Ups and Downs from the Perspective of a “Regular Person”

The Lord has a path and a purpose for each of us, but He doesn’t always give us a clear map of the road we’re on. I’ve found that when my heart calls me strongly to do something there’s a reason for it. I knew it was something I had to pursue. I wanted to set an example of something good and productive. My family wasn’t rich, and we lived in a poor neighborhood. I realized that real estate was my passion, when I could not shake this historic house that the Lord put in my spirit. Even though I didn’t buy the house, I never lost that feeling of being guided toward real estate. This is my story of how it worked for me. I hope my example will show you what’s possible for you, too. First you will need a goal, and then you will need to trust that there’s a way to get there, even if you can’t see the way. I couldn’t see it, either. But whether I could see it or not, I was on the path to my future. Back when I was unemployed and desperate to make ends meet, if you would have told me that I would own multiple successful rental properties, I would have thought that was a crazy joke. Self-employment has changed my life. I went from not having a dime to having an income of thousands of dollars every month. And I know He has a plan for you too.
