Book Details

At the age of 19, I stepped aboard a Greyhound bus in my hometown of New Orleans and headed for New York City. My childhood dreams of performing on Broadway had begun. Just like in the movies! When I published my professional website, I wrote an introduction on the home page. When I went back to read what I had just written, it suddenly occurred to me that I just wrote the first paragraph to my (someday-to-be) memoir. Before I take you on this journey of my life, I will share some things about my childhood that put me on that Greyhound bus to New York. When I decided to venture into this process of writing my memoir, I also made the decision that I would write about what influenced me and encouraged me to chase my dream, and how this dream of a career in show business grabbed me by the heart and wouldn’t let go. My motivation for writing this was to share my journey and offer some inspiration to others who may have their own dream, whether it’s to have a career in show business or a dream of becoming an astronaut.
