Book Details

Two shattered lives entangle on the run from the recent past

Brody Mars had it all figured out. His life had been programmed and predicable until one morning when a letter is delivered that changes everything, leaving him to navigate an unknown trajectory in the Colorado mountain town of Red Moon Hill. Determined Tessa Mackenzie had defined a rigorous unalterable path to success for herself until an unthinkable shocking tragedy one summer night precipitates her flight to Red Moon Hill. Following a chance encounter, the two attempt to move through sorrow, pain and secrecy to resolution while at the same time, evading an underlying twisted plot to eliminate them. Can their friendship evolve into something deeper under the shadow of their recent past and with the danger that lurks in their midst?

Tap, tap, tap!  “Tessa, you in there? It’s me, Brody. Are you OK?” He tapped on her door again. When there was no response, he left as the mystery of Tessa Mackenzie began to deepen in his mind.
What he didn’t know was Tessa was in the apartment. She wasn’t sick. She was terrified, sitting motionless, wrapped in a quilt, with all the window shades drawn in the darkened apartment. One of the faces in the crowd may have looked familiar—a face that she hadn’t wanted to see.
