Golden Apples in Pictures of Silver contains poetic memoirs, tributes, prose and inserts from journal entries. It also features samples of my daughter, Theresa's, writings. I was compelled to write this book after returning from a trip to visit my family on June 22, 2003.

The goal of this book is to encourage and inspire its readers to overcome difficult situations in life.

About the Author

Renata M. Melendez

Renata M. Melendez is a native Chicagoan. She is the wife of Cecil Melendez, and mother of two beautiful daughters, Maria and Theresa. Melendez is an educator and writer. Her writing profession began with Urban Ministries, Inc. (Chicago, Illinois) in 1979. Published stories are included in “Juniorway” and “Young Adult” Sunday school curriculum. Melendez has also written for Christian Education Publishers. Self-published books include, Expressions of the Past: Poems from the Heart, and a curriculum guide entitled, Jacob’s Ladder, which she wrote for her daughter, Maria, who has Special Needs.
