Maureen Birkett was born in Philadelphia, PA and raised in Bucks County. Five years ago she moved to Greer, South Carolina where she lives with her husband, Howard (of 38years) and her handicap daughter, Tara. Maureen attends Fews Chapel UMC where she is very active. She is a member of the Laity, sings in the choir, assists with the youth group, is president of the church “Women’s Group”, and from time to time organizes events and Bible Studies. Maureen just completed an on-line course in “Biblical Counseling” and is interested in using it with middle school youth. She has been a volunteer for 5 years with the Blue Ridge Middle School - Released Time Program. This program teaches youth about the Bible and our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Maureen feels a real “Call” on her life to Love and Unite people with each other and the Lord, Jesus Christ!
