I listen"

This is the guiding motto of sculptor, Charles L. Fields. Book Excerpt

Later that night, after the cantina had closed, the girls gathered around Lillian as she opened her package from Maison Blanc. The only fancy or pretty material goods these girls ever saw were in catalogues. When the Rose Marie emerged from the box, sighs and cries were heard through the night. The bathing suit proved totaly satisfactory but it would never be worn. It was immediately nailed up on the wall and looked upon like a religious icon or some great work of art. I wonder if on some barrio wall in Puerto Cortez this objet d'art still hangs. I have never had the opportunity to return.
