About the Author

Russell S. Watson

Russ Watson lives in a family owned land-lease community. He served three years as President of the Park Place Home Owners Association. At the 2017 Assembly of the Federation of Manufactured Home Owners of Florida, Inc. (FMO) he was elected to the Board of Directors. In 2019 he was appointed District 4 President. Additional positions include FMO liaison to state and national organizations, Bylaws Committee Chair, and Chairman of the Park Closure and Development Committee. He has served on the Board of Directors of the National Manufactured Home Owners Association (NMHOA) since 2017. Russ has presented issues facing manufactured home owners to members of Congress in our nation’s capital. He is currently a member of the Manufactured Housing Consensus Committee (MHCC), advising the Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) on construction and safety issues related to HUD building code. The opinions expressed, observations made, and advice offered in this book are strictly his and do not necessarily represent those of any organization in which he is affiliated.
