Book Details

A classic Christian Hymn and an Ancient Jewish poem unite together to beautifully illustrate God’s amazing love for us. “Luv of God” speaks to the child in all of us!

Have you ever wondered if God loved you? My children's book The Luv of God is based upon a centuries old Jewish poem called Hadamut written by Rabbi Mayer in 1096. A poem that speaks of a miracle. Some say that the miracle happened almost a thousand years ago when a King ordered a Jewish songwriter to composed the poem lyrics to defend his faith and escape the genocide of his community. Others explain that the real miracle was the giving of the Ten Commandments to Moses on Mt Sinai. Still there are others who say no one will ever know what the real miracle was. It is also interesting to note that the third stanza of the Jewish poem was found scribbled on a wall of a patients room in an insane asylum. A further testimony of God's comfort and love in our darkest moments of life. And since 1917 when a Gentile songwriter F.M. Lehman put the poem to music, it has been a beloved hymn in churches around the world. This easy to understand and beautifully illustrated book is sure to capture the hearts of children, and strengthen their faith with the knowledge that God loves them very much.
