Others explain that the real miracle was the giving of the Ten Commandments to Moses on Mt Sinai. Still there are others who say no one will ever know what the real miracle was. It is also interesting to note that the third stanza of the Jewish poem was found scribbled on a wall of a patients room in an insane asylum. A further testimony of God's comfort and love in our darkest moments of life. And since 1917 when a Gentile songwriter F.M. Lehman put the poem to music, it has been a beloved hymn in churches around the world.
