Book Details

God’s love for humanity and His creation of animals

This book begins with Jesus creating our planet, the earth, in six days. During that week He created Adam and Eve, our first parents, and all the animals. On the seventh day, Jesus rested and set it apart as holy to worship Him. We are to care for all the animals He created. Short stories follow the biblical account, illustrating how the author, Marlene Rice-Olson, loves adventure, country living, and feeding and caring for a variety of animals.

In time, Satan, a fallen evil angel, tempted Adam and Eve to sin by eating forbidden fruit from a specific tree in the Garden of Eden. God is all wise and He devised a backup plan of salvation with Jesus before the earth was created. Jesus was born on earth and lived among human beings, being ultimately crucified and dying for our sins so we can be saved. Jesus’s life on earth is our example to follow.

God gave us ten specific commandments to follow so we would know what the rules are so as not to sin. The Bible is written under the influence of the Holy Spirit, and God will give us His Holy Spirit until Jesus comes again. The Bible reveals what happens to people when they die. His people will be raised and taken to heaven with Him when He comes the second time. The Bible explains the exact details of Jesus’s second coming to this earth. It is humanity’s glorious hope for the future.
