About the Author

Mike Moody

Mike Moody is a Licensed Professional Counselor who practices in Montgomery, Alabama. He does not consider himself an author. And he admits that his first book, Mules in the Fast Lane, was not supposed to be a book. Several years ago, it started out as an “unofficial autobiography” meant for the author’s eyes only. This was during a time when his personal journey had taken some unexpected and unwanted twists and turns, and some “therapeutic work” needed to be done. By nature, it contained both good and bad “stuff.” Finally, after “eliminating the negative and accentuating the positive,” Mike realized he still had some work to do. A few years later, Mike’s personal “camcorder” began to malfunction due to (in the computer vernacular) “running short of memory,” and being a self-admitted Luddite when it comes to computers or anything electronic, Mike started writing again (on paper). And, lo and behold, “Life’s a Trip…Expect Falls!” emerged. Sort of a “sequel” (but not really), this is Mike’s transition into the real world of inevitable failures (falls) and 25 inspiring chapters on how the indomitable human spirit allowed him to keep trying when giving up seemed more appealing. As he pointed out with his first book, Mike once again proves in “Life’s a Trip…Expect Falls!” that no experience (or failure) is too small or seemingly insignificant that you can’t learn something from it.
