Thomas W. Geist spent most of his adult life in the field of education, teaching secondary science courses, coaching athletics, and as a local building administrator in both western Oklahoma and Colorado. He also worked for the Human Resources Division of the Oklahoma Department of Human Services for almost ten years. He is now retired and devotes his time to his wife Melanie and his many family members, not the least of whom is a big, black dog named Alwyn.
