Book Excerpt

“He thrashed about in a panic attempt to get loose, but escape was impossible. The animal’s coils were dotted with scores of tiny barbs, small hypodermic needles that injected a potent acid, designed to quickly liquefy the internal organs. The wretch could only mewl softly as hell fire flowed through his veins. The predator spread its jaws and released a viscous membrane—a grotesque caul—which it spread over his head and face, suffocating him quickly. The powerful coils squeezed ever tighter, breaking down the skeleton and reducing the body to a loose sack, filled with blood-gravy and bone shards, easily swallowed and digested.”
