John Determan is everything that is great about the sport of boxing. A man of faith and family, and a former fighter, who fought both amateur and professional. John has given so much of himself to the sport he fell in love with as a young man. More importantly than what John himself got from the sport is what he has given. The countless kids who have walked through those gym doors left as better people because of guys like Johnny Determan. Through the sport of boxing, and his extended boxing community, John has spent much of his adult life passing along ring skills, and life skills, along with sharing his faith, to countless fighters. These gifts help these young athletes to develop character, both in and out of the ring, skills they can carry with them for their whole life.
