The author, Grace Elizabeth Putnam, known lovingly as “Bess”, is a musician by love and trade rooted to the rolling hills of Middleburg, Virginia where she was born. While carrying her eldest daughter, Gwenevere, this story spilled itself onto the page before her. All she had were the first two lines and half an hour later the story was finished. She had always referred to it as “Gwenevere’s Story” as it must have been her doing. “Words and lyrics are like sweet songbirds, sometimes you are lucky enough to catch them and sometimes they come and sit on your shoulder.
