Responses to the Gift of Life

Each one of our lives is considered a pilgrimage or journey, engaging our minds, hearts, and spirits. These poems express some of life’s joys and struggles, attempting to achieve congruence in all facets of our being. Life is like a wheel that spins us out from our Creator and then eventually back into God again, with the offering of our completed lives. These expressions and feelings here from the heart color many aspects of this journey. In Heart’s Pilgrimage Revisited, there are penned the highs of love, friendship and wonder of nature, as well as the lows of pain, contention, and loss. All the writings deal with attempting to find harmony between love of God and love of others. There is passion and stark honesty shared in this book. It is my hope that you will discover aspects of your own encounters in life written here and that these poems will draw you closer to yourself, the love of God, and others. Shalom.
