Doctor Roger Harvey, a middle-aged scientist and Chief Scientific Officer of ThanatoGen, a biotechnology company, has developed a miracle drug that prevents death. While concluding an acquisition with a large pharmaceutical company in the midst of the horrors of 911, he ponders what to do with the remainder of his life. Wealthy from the acquisition but recovering from a recent divorce and suffering from a lack of self-fulfillment, he becomes obsessed with remaking himself into a younger man. In the process, he creates a new identity, undergoes medical procedures and uses hormones and exercise to rebuild his aging body. As a new man, his adventure takes him from boot camp at Fort Benning to the jungles of the Philippines. And after a harrowing life and death experience, he finds an unexpected source of fulfillment.
