My Childhood home was Right down from the church that we Attended, until I was almost a Senior in high school. I Remember when we had a screened in front porch, where my sisters and I played as Little girls. My Mom always had a clothes Line on our screened in porch, where in the Winter, she would hang our clothes to dry. In the cold Winter Months, my dad would always place a Little space heater on the porch for our clothes to dry. My Dad would always sit and Listen to the White socks base ball game, everyday after he came home from work and help my Mom and Grandmother close the Cafe that they operated. We had a Nice size yard, with fruit trees and a Nice grape vine in the back yard. I Remember coming home from school on some days smelling my Mother cooking White Northern beans and corn bread. We would Always have a Blackberry Cobbler or Banana pudding for dessert. My Grandmother would always bring Chicken-N-dumplings from Our Cafe that we owned. I also vividly Remembering my Dad buying us a Nice black and White T.V. one day after coming home from school. Boy my sisters and brothers were so happy to finally have a T.V. of our own. Before, we would always go over to a Neighbor’s house to watch T.V. Later after I finally Married and had my own home. My husband Curtis at the time, bought our Children a Nice New color T.V., which we, along with their cousins and plenty of friends would All crowd into my Living Room and watch either football or basketball, because we had four boys who All played sports in school and my Daughter was a high school Cheerleader. My house was Always full of my Kids and their cousins and their friends. I would always be in the Kitchen cooking Large pots and pans with Homemade chili, spaghetti, Chicken, potatoes, baking cookies or candy. But I had to hide my husband at the time a plate, because the Kids would eat everything up. They All soon grew up and moved out to Attend College. Today, I am Left with fond Memories and plenty of Grand children and Great Grand Children, Who I Adore.
