Anderson Walkes was born in St. Simons, St. Andrew, Barbados on August 4th, 1950. He attended St. Simons Primary School and the Alleyne Secondary School where his love of writing took full flight as he wrote and performed in several skits and plays. After leaving school, he became a teacher and attended Erdiston Teacher’s Training College where he gained his degree in Education He immigrated to the United States in 1978, where he still resides. He has two children, – LeTeicha Jenelle Walkes and Nicole Dionne Walkes, along with three grandchildren, – Tiara, Kareem and Amari. His writing blossomed as he wrote many skits and plays for (URBONY) United Rehabilitation Barbados Organization of New York. Some of these plays and skits were performed in Toronto, Montreal and Ontario in Canada. Other venues were Vermont, New Jersey, Connecticut and of course New York where he resided for many years. At present he’s working at MasterCard Worldwide in St Louis, Missouri, as a Quality Assurance Analyst.
