Shifting Dreams
Like so many grains of sand
are there wishes, visions
And aspirations—
manifestations of being
and becoming.
Still, much the same as sands
of grain do ideals expire
Within simple durations.
For as winds blow and the
tide changes
Many a dream becomes little
more than shifting scheme.
