Russell Kane is the author of Fighting the Long Sorrow. He has a bachelor’s degree from Hofstra University and a master’s in deaf education from Gallaudet University. Mr. Kane has immersed himself in deaf culture and was transformed by his Deaf President Now (DPN) experience. He has served as a consultant for organizations, individuals, and corporations because of his expertise as an educator. He now resides in New York and teaches ASL full-time at a community college.
