Captivating Stories That Will Touch Your Heart And Live In Your Memory

Latter-day Saints will relish this book’s insightful, revealing 33 true stories told in exquisitely composed prose by a life-long Mormon. But so will those outside the Church who are curious about the LDS lifestyle. They will gain up-close, fascinating insight—many for the first time—about what it means to live life as a Mormon, its challenges and rewards. Included are 20 poems, many of which disclose how Mormons perceive their time on earth, and all of which are thought-provoking.

Book Excerpt

"King Benjamin's words toll with towering clarity across kitchen tables and neighbor's fences and white crosses and Stars of David in a row. They surmount mountains, cross continents, and call to the cosmos. They eclipse the elucidations of the wisest theologians and philosophers and poets. Unrelentingly they unravel the riddles of the ages, including the one I confronted when I was seven years old." (From "Words That Toll with Towering Clarity," a story about my family's encounter with racism during WWII.)
