Charlotte Stewart St. Pierre has a master's in Sociology and is a Lecturer at Sojourner-Douglass College in Baltimore, MD. Charlotte Stewart St. Pierre should be strongly commended for penning such an outstanding arrary of moving poems. They express a broad range of emotions--from bouts of depression through achieving the resilience to transform stumbling blocks into stepping stones--with the help of God. Many of these poems are designed to heal males who grew up in fatherless families. But I think they also motivate men who want to become better fathers in rearing their sons and daughters. I believe that all persons--regardless of gender--can find uplifting messages from these poems to make them more deeply-committed parents.

Chosen - Friends are chosen people we include in our lives. They are given to us to help make us thrive. I've been so fortunate to have many people who I call my friends. They have stayed with me through thick and thin. They are all so perfect I can't choose one as the best, for fear of leaving out all the rest. They have allowed me in their lives with all my imperfections. I thank God that he placed me in their direction. I desire that everybody has at least one true friend that they can be themselves with to the bitter end.
