About the Author

Sergei Shishkin

Sergei Shishkin has a postgraduate degree in economics (PhD equivalent) from Moscow State Institute of International Relations. He worked as a market analyst and as an auditor for the Soviet Ministry of Finance and, for the last 15 years of his career, at the United Nations. After his retirement in 2007, he began dividing his time between Westchester County in New York state and Clearwater in Florida, writing about his experiences in the world of economics and auditing. Economics for Non-economists was originally written in Russian and has been translated into English by Russian language enthusiast Frances Hisey.
