Janine DiGiacomo has been an educator in health care for the past fifteen years. She has worked with both adults and children in her professional life and enjoys teaching people how to live a healthy life. She lives in the San Francisco Bay area and has plans to write more children's books, poetry, folk songs and other works. Her hobbies include hiking, kayaking and spending time in the beautiful California nature. The main character in this book was named after her son, Erik.
