Hopes, Prayers, Observations in Rhyme

For over 50 years, I’ve written poetry. Poetry has been my means of communication, and my therapy. I’ve made more than my share of social blunders. A whole lot more. I’ve learned lessons along the way, and some lessons took a few attempts to grasp. Through them all, I wrote poetry. I’ve made mistakes, some repeatedly, so if you read this collection of work, there will be recurring themes, some hopes, some prayers, some observations, and perhaps, something that you can take away, that makes you think, or gives you hope. That is my hope. Thanks for reading. Robert

About the Author

Robert Rapier

I was born in Little Rock, Arkansas in 1953. It seems like I’ve always thought in rhyme. I started writing poems when I was 8 years old, mostly to my mother. They made her smile, so I smiled, too. Throughout the years, I have read poems on radio, published in newspapers, some magazines, and anthologies. This is my first collection of works to be published.
