Vonn is an ordained minister, licensed public school teacher, psalmist, and motivational speaker. She founded and pastored an outreach ministry, and produced her own Christian Radio Broadcast. She was chosen as a teacher ambassador to Canada in 2000. Vonn is married, and has one son and grandson. She loves to call Tidewater, Virginia home.
