And when lights dim and heavens shine,
I am not here because I am lost,
or know no other road.

About the Author

D. Carlson Lewis

D. Carlson Lewis graduated from Colgate University in 2002 where he majored in English and minored in Creative Writing and African American Studies. He took a year off before pursuing post graduate studies, during which time he mentored under poet, Luisa Villani. In 2007, he graduated from the Duquesne University School of Law. In 2014, he received an MBA from West Virginia University College of Business and Economics. His work has been published in various journals and magazines and tends to explore emotions through visual interpretations of space and the individual’s relationship to landscapes and time. He currently lives in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.
