Award-winning artist, author, lecturer, and musical performer Jeanne Maxant Blanchet was born in Chicago. After graduating summa cum laude from Northwestern University, she was awarded a prestigious Woodrow Wilson Fellowship for graduate study. She earned a master’s degree from Arizona State University and a Ph.D. from Hawaii. Following a teaching career at various colleges and universities, she is currently at home in Scottsdale, Arizona. Jeanne’s biography appears in Marquis Who’s Who in America. In 2018 she received the coveted Albert Nelson Marquis Lifetime Achievement Award for leadership in the field of creative arts.
