Book Details

War is hell – particularly war against hell.

The book of Revelation is the story of the triumphant Christ who has just returned from His daring raid behind enemy lines. What seemed like Satan’s master stroke in butchering Jesus on a cross at Calvary turned out to be the greatest tactical disaster of all time. The death of Jesus was not a defeat, but rather a strategic incursion into enemy territory. He dropped right into hell’s supermax prison, threw open the cells incarcerating His people in sin and death, and extracted them from the abyss below to His heaven above so that they could reign with Him forever and ever. In a single stroke, Jesus had cheated the grave, liberated His royal siblings, plundered hell, and left the Devil with his mouth agape as the Christ taunted, “Death! Where is your sting? Grave! Where is your victory?” The Jesus that the Apostle John sees before Him now is the conquering prince. Eyes of fire, voice of oceans, robe of white, sash of royalty, feet of bronze, mouth as a sword – the resurrected, glorified Christ has launched His invasion against the kingdom of darkness. Now He will tell us how He will finish it.
