WATCH-OUT FOR DIVISIONS IN YOUR CHURCH and FAITH!

This book connects the discussion dots between the pew, pulpit, ivory tower, streets, mahogany desk, and T.V. set. Rank and position do not determine right faith or good theology. God saves individual sinners; not members of the right group, church, or organization. Unity in Christ is based on agreement on the same “essentials of faith” for each person; not on the agreement on human constructs, practices, or rituals. Faith is active in love for justice. Faith drives and dives for understanding, awareness, kindness, and self-control in all aspects of life; personal and social. Faith teaches identity, reach, and humility. Faith bases all life on the source and norm of Scripture. Faith is the courage to be. Faith is to overcome feelings of inadequacy. Faith is to stand up for what’s right!

Book Excerpt

BOOK RESPONSES AND DESCRIPTIONS: The major faith topics/beliefs are defined in this book in two categories, "This We Do Believe" and "This We Do Not Believe"! Here are some bullet responses from a group of ecumenical proof-readers who were asked to give "hash-tag takeaways"; as follows: - good for our study/discussion group; - unities faith and critical thinking; - joins freedom with responsibility; - defines genuine human relationships; - puts religious morals over social norms; - clarifies my primary identity as a believer; - gives helpful responses to tough Qs.; - applies faith to all aspects of life; - supports standing up for what's right; - separates magic/superstition from faith; - growth/awareness of faith never ends; - builds a faith-filled world-view; - beliefs are the dimension of depth in all life; - whatever is most important is our god; - a terrific witness to a challenging faith; - sin is in everything and in everyone; - only faith can see sin for what it is; - forgiveness is in the Word by grace alone; - our will is not free to believe in God; - the Word convicts us of our sin; - a great summary of "essentials of faith alone" - The authoritative source and norm of all faith and life is . . . . (p.45). Read more about this book and dialogue with the author @, wordpress.com/page/harrythe author.wordpress.com, or on Facebook; and Kindle Edition @ Amazon.com
