It is about Lincoln Logs and old barns, chicken coops, and subdivisions, clothespins and bamboo chimes. It is about doves and geese, peacocks and woodpeckers. It is about migrations and translations, hanging on and letting go, about war and peace and weird foods. It is a about confetti and church pews. It is about young love and cemeteries. It is a book in praise of trees.

Cheryl Miller taught in Craig, Colorado for Moffat County Public Schools and Colorado Northwestern Community College for thirty years. She retired in 2008 and now lives in Canon City, Colorado, with her husband, cat, and gardens.
