Book Details

Caution: Woman Inside is the story of Sissy St. Clair, a "garden variety" intersexual. This is her story, from growing up in the 1950's to her adulthood of the 1990's. Her's is a story of conflict and perseverance, of living her life in both genders, and somehow managing to save her own sanity. She describes how she adjusted her personal life to the whims of the world, while her life plays out in a roller coaster series of events. Triumph and tragedy, hilarious and entertaining, this story takes the reader on the ride of their lives, looking through the eyes of a "everyday" person.

Book Excerpt

The beast bore down on me with teeth flashing. I screamed at the top of my lungs for it to get away from me. Miss Chuck, below on the ground was running in circles yelling "Oh My God" over and over as I desperately clung to the edge of the roof. A painter from the nursing home next door came to see what the ruckus was about, and said something under his breath. I next heard Miss Chuck screaming at him to "Take that back" as she advanced upon him.
