When last we saw Michael Holland, he was accidentally trapped in the painting Astride a Horse of Winter. To get him out Thena needs help from Michaels former lover Lilly, "The Dark One," who happens to be a master thief. They need to work together to free him and uncover the real Book of the Horned God. The hunt for the book requires them to dive head first into more artwork. Lucifer was trickier than anyone imagined and distributed multiple copies throughout the world.
