EMILY ISRAEL HOFFMAN founded a breast cancer charity in memory of her mother, The Renée Israel Foundation in 2006. In 2011, Emily published her first book, A Blending of Bittersweet Memories, a cookbook dedicated to those who have lost a loved one. In 2013, Emily published her second book, a colorful children’s book to encourage healthy eating, Why Are You So Strong, Stanley? The series, Stanley and Walker, began as a collaboration between Emily, and her children, Palmer and Elle, modeled after their pups.
