Treasure, Wealth, and Family — Overcoming Human Greed and Physical Handicap

Only a handful of people ever experience a true rags-to-riches story, especially when it involves finding sunken treasure. Blind Vision is the incredible tale of one family who did just that. Mathew Messina is a successful, blind businessman. He and his wife, Rose—a respected CPA—come from very humble beginnings and have achieved much through hard work and determination. When Rose convinces her husband to invest in a treasure hunter, the whole family is stunned when the expedition uncovers one of the world's greatest sunken treasures. Now the Messina family must deal with the consequences of their unexpected wealth and keep their family and faith intact as they face the external forces of greed. Blind Vision is based on the unbelievable story of the author's family—the challenges his father faced, the obstacles he overcame, the strength and courage of his mother, and the treasure hunter who changed their lives.

About the Author

Mark Chibbaro

About the Author: Mark Chibbaro grew up in a blue collar town in New Jersey and eventually went to one of the country's leading prep schools and colleges. Now in his fifties, he lives in the Palm Beach area of Florida. He had two amazing parents who took their family on a wonderful ride through life and is on a journey to do the same for his family and friends. About the Cover Artist: Lauri Blank's work receives frequent media attention. In 2002, Blank was selected as the artist for the 2002 Grammy Awards. Her "Post 911" Grammy work symbolized the patriotism of a nation blended with our love of music. Her own imitable style, which the artist refers to as “Romantic Figuratism,” brings a sense of peace and reflection to the modern day world which closely matched the author’s framework for Blind Vision.
