This is a true account written as fiction. The names, places, and times are not actual, some of the dialogue is imagined, however, the events are true. It is the story of a woman who, as a girl, wished she could marry a minister, got her wish, and in early mid-life questions the wisdom of that wish. Be Careful What You Wish For covers several years of living in furnished parsonages, raising three sons, and sharing life in the pastorate with her husband while battling her own demons. Spiced with humor, it is at once a “behind the scenes” peek at the working of a mainline church and a character study of one “misplaced” pastor’s wife.
