About the Author

Dr. Carla Dire Capstick

Carla Dire Capstick, received her Bachelor of Arts and Doctorate of Philosophy degrees from the University of Denver and her Master of Arts degree and principal licensure from the University of Phoenix. She is a former U.S. History and AP U.S. Government and Politics teacher. She has been an administrator since 2004. She is currently the principal at Blessed Sacrament Catholic School and an adjunct professor at Regis University in the College of Professional Studies. Dr. Capstick has written education articles and curriculum and is a professional development facilitator. She enjoys spending time outdoors by playing tennis golf and snow shoeing. She is happily married to her high school sweetheart; she has three wonderful children, two daughters and a son, two wonderful sons-in-law and a lovely daughter-in law. She takes great pleasure in spoiling three grandsons and three granddaughters.
